Our studio’s first project in Sweden involved construction of residential complex in the town of Olofström. It is, as of now, the most prominent investment in the region. It was completed in cooperation with the general contractor – F.B.I. Tasbud.
Two seven-storey heigh buildings were completed using prefabricated construction and their architecture is very distinctive for Scandinavian countries. Elevations were designed with care to detail and materiality. The buildings fit gracefully with the surroundings due to the steady rhythm articulated through positioning of balconies and further accentuated with clinker brick and timber cladding.
The complex features 54 flats of varying areas and layouts, along with common spaces and technical infrastructure. A particular emphasis has been placed upon making the buildings accessible both to the elderly and people with disabilities. Spacious balconies or terraces are provided for all apartments.
